WHO WE ARE
A membrane manufacturer first. A water‑access mission always.
Wellspring is a spin‑off of PHILOS, a Korean membrane technology firm with more than three decades of expertise in water, energy, bio and environmental separation. We are not a reseller assembling off‑the‑shelf filters — we design, cast and manufacture our own hollow‑fiber ultrafiltration membranes.
Our journey began in 2013 at an Appropriate Technology Festival, in response to a request from an NGO in Kenya seeking a long‑lasting water filter. That single conversation shaped our mission: make safe drinking water accessible anywhere, without depending on electricity or heavy infrastructure.

How It Works
Three stages.
No electricity. No compromise.
Every Wellspring purifier — personal or village‑scale — runs on gravity. High‑pressure pumps fail where there's no power grid, so we engineer membranes that don't need one.
99.999% bacteria & protozoa removal
Reusable · washable · replaceable parts
Removes microplastics
3Stage Filtration
"Our 3-stage filtration system features a pre-filter to remove suspended solids, a high-precision UF membrane that completely eliminates bacteria, and an activated carbon filter that removes chlorine and organic substances to deliver clean, great-tasting water.
UF Membrane
Our hollow‑fiber ultrafiltration membrane holds a uniform 0.05 μm pore size — small enough to block bacteria, protozoa, and microplastics, letting only clean water through.
Gravity Delivery
No pump, no battery. Water flows by gravity alone, so the system works in villages, disaster zones, and off‑grid outposts alike.
Product Line A
Portable & personal water purifiers
For emergency relief, ODA distribution, outdoor retail, and household use — three formats built on the same membrane technology, sized for the situation.

Wellspring-G
Gravity purifier for families & small groups
Our most‑deployed field unit. Built for high‑turbidity surface water where municipal supply doesn't reach — the backbone of our ODA and NGO donation programs.
Dimensions Φ45 × 240 mm
Filter weight 120 g
Flow rate 0.5 L/min
Filtration capacity 10,000 L
Works with high‑turbidity source water. Field‑serviceable by end users via backwashing.

Wellspring-S
Straw‑type purifier for individual use
Under 50 g and pocket‑sized, for military field training, disaster response, or a single traveler drinking straight from a river, lake, or tap.
Dimensions Φ25 × 220 mm
Filter weight < 50 g
Flow rate 0.1 L/min
Filtration capacity 500 L
Easy to use, with a replaceable block‑style activated carbon cartridge.

Weflow
8L gravity purifier for outdoor & travel
A generous 8‑liter water bag with the same 3‑stage filtration, designed for camping, travel, and everyday family use — no waiting, no electricity.
Dimensions Φ65 × 204 mm
Filter weight 180 g
Flow rate 0.5 L/min
Filtration capacity 2,000 ~ 4,000 L
3‑stage: sediment + membrane + activated carbon. Self‑standing & hangable
Product Line B
Village & community water systems
Beyond personal purifiers, Wellspring engineers centralized systems for entire villages, schools, and public facilities — scaling the same non‑powered membrane approach from a single household to hundreds.
Every installation is matched to the local source water, contamination profile, and available infrastructure — from gravity‑fed UF systems to RO units for brackish or seawater and specialty filters for arsenic or fluoride removal.
-
Membrane‑based advanced filtration — UF/RO membranes remove bacteria, viruses, microplastics, and harmful chemicals.
-
Energy‑free, gravity‑based operation — built for off‑grid and disaster‑prone regions with no reliable power supply.
-
Locally managed & sustainable — most components are locally sourceable and serviceable, with community ownership built into the design.
-
Configurable for contaminants — arsenic, fluoride, and high‑turbidity variants engineered per site, as demonstrated across our Tanzania and Cambodia deployments.
Why Partners Choose Wellspring
A manufacturer, not a middleman
Choosing Wellspring means partnering with a supplier that protects both your sales and your customers' trust — with the engineering to back it up.
True membrane manufacturer
We hold original membrane know‑how through PHILOS — not an OEM reseller relabeling someone else's filter
100% factory inspection
Every unit is pressure‑tested with an air particle counter to detect breakage or leakage — not sampled, verified.
Made in Korea
Products are directly engineered and produced by our own team — a premium, reliable, and safety‑first supply chain.
Solvent residue control
Strict control during membrane casting eliminates leaching risk, ensuring the purity of the final product.
Uniform pore manufacturing
Consistent pore size across every membrane means precise filtration, stable flow, and longer membrane life.
Built for continuity
Reusable, washable, and field‑serviceable — designed to keep working when supply chains and infrastructure don't.
Field Impact
Proven where it's hardest to prove
From arsenic‑contaminated groundwater in Cambodia to fluoride‑laced wells in Tanzania, Wellspring systems have been engineered and installed alongside NGOs, universities, and global CSR programs.
